Volunteer at Crystal Bridges

Tour Guide

We Welcome All

Crystal Bridges and the Momentary are committed to creating institutions that reflect the diversity of our region and nation.

We are especially mindful of those in our community impacted by inequity due to ability, language, class, age, gender, religion, sexuality, race, and ethnicity, and are working diligently to address perceived and real barriers that keep anyone from fully experiencing the museum as a guest, volunteer, or employee.

All volunteer applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We actively encourage minority volunteer applicants to join our team.

Make a difference here

Volunteers welcome Crystal Bridges’ visitors, engage children on school visits, and lead tours of our collection and our trails. They survey guests, assemble art kits, care for our grounds, and act as ambassadors throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Volunteering isn’t just for adults—we have opportunities for teens, too! Develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills while earning service hours at Crystal Bridges. Each summer, Crystal Bridges hosts three unique teen volunteer programs. Rising freshmen through graduating seniors are invited to apply to our Grounds Crew, Youth & Family Art Crew, or our Junior Instructor program every April.

Applications to the 2026 Teen Summer Volunteer Program are now closed. To apply next year, please return to this page in April 2027.

Family Volunteer Opportunities

Crystal Bridges is welcoming family volunteers!

Children ages 10–13 are invited to volunteer alongside a favorite adult in their lives: a parent, guardian, aunt, etc. Serve the community, connect with family, and facilitate fun activities for Crystal Bridges guests!

Interested in being part of Gems of Crystal Bridges in 2026?

Both the interested adult and child will need to attend an orientation on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Subsequent volunteer opportunities will be on weekends or over school holidays. We ask that each family commit to at least three shifts over the course of a year.

Contact us if you have any questions or want to secure your spot in the orientation.

We can’t wait to meet you!
