Horse Lover
Horse Lover is part of a series of large-scale “collage sculptures.” Carol Bove creates by combining found scrap metal and square tubing that she crushes and shapes in her studio.
These abstract assemblages appear lightweight, flexible, and spontaneous. Notice the delicate balance between the rusted scrap metal and the clean, green-painted steel spine that binds the elements together. Sited among the trees, Horse Lover invites us to consider the architecture and balance of the natural world.
