Animal Meet Human brought together 16 works exploring the complex, evolving relationship between humans and animals in American art. From hunting scenes and pastoral idylls to contemporary works questioning our treatment of other species, the exhibition traced how artists have depicted animals as companions, symbols, resources, and fellow inhabitants of a shared world.
