Alfred Stieglitz Collection
Acerca de esta colección
The Alfred Stieglitz Collection comprises 101 works spanning painting, watercolor, printmaking, photography, drawing, and sculpture, primarily from the early modern period (1870–1950). Assembled around the legacy of the pioneering photographer and gallery owner Alfred Stieglitz, the collection features works by artists central to the American modernist movement, including John Marin, Marsden Hartley, Arthur Dove, and Charles Demuth, alongside Stieglitz's own photographs. These works reflect the radical experiments in abstraction, color, and form that defined the first half of the twentieth century in American art.
